O poet! <br />What should be your poem like? <br />How will you find your melodious voice, <br />on the feathers of imagination singing and rhyming, <br />beneath the blue sky of a choice-less choice? <br /> <br />One said, <br />“Where will the pain and joys blink? <br />Where will desire and longings dance? <br />Where will the day and night sing? <br />Where will the earth and sky meet? <br />Were will the dreams take up wings? <br />In the poems, of course. <br />Straight from the heart and ever flowing, <br />the poem is spontaneity of emotion. <br />What is its format? What is its length? <br />Such things hardly matter. <br />In the air like a freely floating balloon, <br />can a reader relish without any bother, <br />in wit, humor, drama, or action, <br />weaving fantasy, full of attraction? ” <br /> <br />The Other said, <br />“No elaboration, no explanation! <br />Leave it to the reader’s comprehension, <br />engage him to figure out the hidden meaning, <br />the thoughts and emotions subtly ringing. <br />Brief and succinct, mysterious or abstract, <br />less said is to be better, providing much more impact. <br />The poem is suspense, subject to many interpretations, <br />engagement of the mind and heart in one session.” <br /> <br />O poet! <br />What one or the other says, you shouldn't care, <br />from the millions of shades come your notes like a flare. <br />Consider them rushing naturally and be wise. <br />Just try, adjust and synchronize. <br /> <br />O poet! <br />How will you find your melodious voice? <br />on the feathers of imagination singing and rhyming, <br />beneath the blue sky of a choice-less choice: <br />what is not imposed from anywhere, <br />but rather automatic, spontaneous, bursts forth in the air. <br /> <br />Copyright © reserved by the author<br /><br />Amrit Rathi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-choice-less-choice/
