Those eyes say it all. <br /> <br />In the beginning those eyes brought happiness, <br />So bright, beautiful, and full of life. <br />Those eyes were the reason I smiled. <br />Those eyes are the eyes I miss. <br /> <br />As time went on, those eyes grew brighter, <br />You didn’t have to say a thing, your eyes said it all, <br />For in that moment time stopped, it was just you and me, <br />Eyes locked, in a moment not easily forgotten. <br /> <br />Then those eyes began to look away, <br />Drawn towards others, and distracted by the past. <br />Those eyes began to see me in a new way, <br />I gave you everything but those eyes saw it as a lie. <br /> <br />Those eyes only began to see the wrong, <br />Only ever interested in a fight. <br />I would stay up all night, fighting for myself, <br />Dreaming, hoping those eyes could remember the good. <br /> <br />Those eyes say it all, <br />The last time our eyes meet, <br />My heart was shattered. <br />For there was only sadness and hatred. <br /> <br />In those eyes, I laid my trust. <br />Those eyes drove my heart and brightened my day, <br />But now those eyes broke my heart for, <br />Those eyes said it all.<br /><br />Jst Brk<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/those-eyes-32/
