IT TOOK 2LONG 2REALIZE <br /> <br />Its sad to say when I look in your pathetic face <br />I see you lost place in grace <br />but its my fault I put you there on your pedestal up so high <br />I knew one day we would have to say our last “goodbye” <br />But I didn’t know it would be so soon <br />now I sit outside with no company except the lonely glow of the moon <br />I sit and all I can think about is how I messed up so bad <br />You were the first love I ever had that’s why it is so sad <br />The problem isn’t you its me, though its something I try to hide <br />I put so much trust and faith in you, but you don’t care and it kills me inside <br />I was always there for you <br />And compassion in return is something you never tried to do <br />Why do you have to change who you are? <br />We can be in the same room but emotionally we are so far <br />Your thoughts might not be hollow <br />But your heart, your heart is so very shallow <br />Now there’s nothing I can do <br />I cant just force myself not to love you <br />But because the way you are lately <br />I don’t have to try my thoughts about you are put so hatefully <br />You cant imagine all the things that go through my mind <br />Enough to make a sane man senseless is what you will find <br />No matter how hard I try <br />I cant bring myself to say that last goodbye<br /><br />Andrea Rivera<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/it-took-2long-2realize-2/
