Happiness <br />You can't pursue happiness and catch it; <br />Happiness does not depend or start <br />With what happens outside of you, <br />But what happens inside your heart. <br /> <br />Happiness is measured by the spirit <br />In which life's problems are met. <br />A heart full of rich emotions, <br />And the thought of a full mind set. <br /> <br />Happiness is found in relationships <br />That are loving, considerate and kind, <br />Happy is as happy does, <br />True happiness is peace of mind. <br /> <br />Happiness comes with the satisfaction, <br />That you did your best and did not fail, <br />The knowing that you have helped someone, <br />And helped yourself as well. <br /> <br />Happiness is found in little things, <br />Like a newborn baby's smile. <br />A soldier safe and home from war, <br />Or a hug from your Grandchild. <br /> <br />All people want to be happy, <br />And it isn't far away, and yet, <br />Happiness doesn't find you, <br />You have to find it. <br /> <br />By Richard Netherland Cook<br /><br />Richard Netherland Cook<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/happiness-250/
