A slumbering heart <br />Suddenly awoke <br />After a callous love dart <br />Its frail wings broke! <br /> <br />Moans, moans, moans <br />Day and night <br />Night and day <br />Oh! Ailing heart! <br />Hear love's sweet tones! <br />Let love heal thy wounds <br /> <br />The ailing heart sighs <br />The ailing heart cries: <br />'Love is joy and delight <br />Why then my feeble beating blight? !
