Beach Dreams <br /> <br />I know the way that I must go <br />All the signs are pointing though <br />To that alluring place of pride <br />Where life is long and death is slow. <br /> <br />I’ve travelled far and now arrive <br />Where the foaming ocean’s tide <br />Pulls me through the waters high <br />No matter how I try to strive. <br /> <br />They call aloud with shouts and sighs <br />“Do not go on”, it’s suicide <br />(Those long lived and nearly dead) <br />But waves are strong and waters rise. <br /> <br />“He would not listen” they all said <br />(As I watch them from my floating bed) <br />Am I just dreaming inside my head? <br />Am I just dreaming inside my head? <br /> <br /> <br />Apologies to Robert Frost<br /><br />David Taylor<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/beach-dreams/
