‘Forgive me and forget me’, read the note <br />Boy who delivered asked, if it was a love note <br />My sadness did not say much <br />I had nothing to say as such <br /> <br />I have read the words, many a time <br />Stared hard at it, for long <br />Speculating, if the message would change <br />And it would mean, ‘I love you’ again <br /> <br />I think about the time <br />If, before you wrote, did you wait for long <br />Wondering, how my world would change <br />And leave me, without you to turn to, ever again <br /> <br />‘Forgive me and forget me’ reads the note <br />I know, the count of the words by rote <br />Five!
