Tonight,
Like every day,
you complained at words
I used perchance.
Speculated,
that they lacked romance.
The hurt I hide,
you do me with your words lance.

In the shadows
of the room you stay.
As I waited for the light
to fail in your eyes
I can see in the
hooded eyes,
the lies that as truth you say.

My words
are obnubilated with darkness
of settled blood.
Congealed,
mingled with the earth
it reeks the rust red
that blood just bled.

I traversed a journey thru
your covered miles.
And with me, carried
a pair of smiles.
The smirk, to veil from the world
the crepuscular agonies.
The other, a grin at self
to attempt these follies.

O Sudhir Janardhanan

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/erebus/
