Blacker the night grows ere the dawn be risen, <br />Keener the cost, and fiercer yet the fight. <br />But hark! above the thunder and the terror <br />A trumpet blowing splendid through the night. <br /> <br />It is the challenge of our dead undying, <br />Calling, Remember! We have died for you. <br />It is the cry of perilled earth's hereafter-- <br />Sons of our sons--Be glorious! Be true! <br /> <br />Now in the hour when either world is witness, <br />Never or now shall we be proven great, <br />Rise to the height of all our strain and story, <br />Aye, and beyond!
