I saw an old woman,
In the park.
She was sitting on a bench,
Under a huge tree,
Feeding the pigeons.
She would take out feed,
From a paper bag,
And spread it,
On the sidewalk,
In front of her.
The pigeons scrambled around,
Picking up all the grains,
Until they were all gone.
They were very grateful.
After they were full,
They flew to the tree,
Under which sat the old woman,
On the bench.
And they all preceded,
To defecate on her.
The moral of this story is,
Don't sit on a bench,
Under a huge tree,
After you just fed,
A flock of pigeons.

10/27/10 Alton Texas

Juan Olivarez

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-old-woman-in-the-park/
