This poem is a tribute to my sister Valerie, who after suffering a stroke lived the next 20 years of her life unable to hear or speak. <br /> <br /> <br />In your silent world you lived alone, <br />Not one complaint, not once did you moan. <br />You were my sister, you were my friend, <br />You smiled right on to the very end. <br /> <br />In silence you held your pain within, <br />For year's you forte, you would not give in. <br />You were so brave, you were so true, <br />Now all i have is the memory of you. <br /> <br />Your memory i will always treasure, <br />I loved you Val i'll forget you never. <br /> <br />I'll remember you in the morning light <br />Your loving face, your smile so bright, <br />And as the day's turn in to dusk <br />I'll remember your loving tender touch. <br /> <br />When the sky turn's dark each and every night, <br />We'll know your the star which shine's out bright. <br />You'll shine to let us know your there, <br />We'll know it's you, we'll know you care. <br /> <br />Fly on to where you have to be, <br />Fly on now Val at last your free.<br /><br />wendy. thopliss<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/your-silent-world/
