Destitute <br /> <br />Hidden in a crowd <br />we all stand alone <br />some without family or home <br /> <br />having hearts of pride or shame <br />for anonymous seems our name <br />the comfort of family or friend <br />for some the roads end! <br /> <br />no laughter nor smile in heart <br />long the road we walk <br />for life's dangerous part <br /> <br />fallen by the wayside or through life's crack <br />faceless human beings on the wrong track <br />souls empty from hunger <br />lost in a shadow and we wonder can we hold out any longer <br /> <br />bitter emotion suffocate a dying breath <br />for in life a misery must we wish for death? <br />moving through life invisible in a crowd <br />our homeless generation, the voices cry out loud. <br /> <br />'Do we acknowledge the stranger on our street?
