I see her there in her old rocking chair
In our house which was filled with love.
I wonder if she is now watching me
From her new home in heaven above.

In her chair she would sit,
With her hands she would knit
Hats, scarves, mittens and gloves,
So when playing out side
I would wear them with pride
Knowing they came from my mothers love.

We may not have been a rich family
But i can't really say we were poor,
Because i had all that i needed
As soon as i walked through that door.

Mum would be there to greet me
With a pie or a stew for my tea,
I love my childhood memories
They were so full of love and happy.

So if you are watching me now mum
Theres something i want you to know,
You were such a wonderful mother
And i'll always love you so.

wendy. thopliss

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/her-old-rocking-chair-mum/
