This poem is written in BLANK VERSE <br />14 lines and 10 syllables per line. <br /> <br /> <br />We live in increasingly noisy World <br />Even in shops (once such quiet havens) <br />We have wall to wall musak and mobiles <br />Nowhere on Earth is ever free from them. <br />The mad fobile moan of the mobile phone <br />Is everywhere - on trains and on busses <br />On the street and in the park and children <br />As young as three can be heard using them. <br />I never knew what a 'telephone' was <br />Until I was sixteen when i started <br />Work and even then it took me a while <br />To realise the person on the line <br />Was not in the next room but AMERICA! ! ! <br />I vow never to own a MOBILE PHONE. <br /> <br />John Knight - 5 March 2011<br /><br />John Knight<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/03-peace-quiet/
