We often travel a path of uncertainty <br />unsure of what lies ahead, <br />we find someone that really intrigues us, <br />but our heart isn't quite prepared, <br />so we contemplate back and forth <br />so afraid it could be a mistake, <br />we'd like to know where the road may lead us <br />but we're overwhelmed with so little faith, <br />we look for signs that would give us some idea <br />but everything seem so vague, <br />a part of us would like to at least 'try' <br />the other part too afraid, <br />so we think it's best to just walk away <br />and not ever know if the pieces fit, <br />we were so overwhelmed by fear, <br />we didn't even have the heart to take the risk.<br /><br />Bernard Snyder<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/overwhelmed-16/
