Today should be remembered— <br />Not only for it’s feat, <br />But there’s no other like it; <br />And thus, it is unique. <br /> <br />It’s not for sounding trumpets. <br />Or neon flashing signs. <br />Nor for famed inaugurals, <br />Or parades of great design. <br /> <br />Today has it’s own style, <br />And goes at its own pace. <br />Would it win a banner <br />Were it in a race? <br /> <br />Perhaps not.
