When I was a little kid I thought I could run. <br />But then I fell down and that wasn't fun. <br />As I started to grow up I tried new things. <br />Like riding a bike and taking whatever life brings. <br />During those Elementary years I thought I was cool. <br />But really I was just a fool. <br />I'd also wish for another try. <br />But all along all i needed was a friend to get by. <br />As middle school came around i started noticing girls a lot more. <br />But it didn't matter cause they woudl reject and that would hurt me to the core. <br />A lot of problems were in line for me then. <br />Shop Lifting and it wasn't even the beginning of it. <br />I was already stealing money from my parents since I was ten. <br />High School wasn't any different. <br />Only the people you used to know turned into the direct oppisite and whatever was said to someone else was usually truly meant. <br />All I my life I was telling my self I think I can, I think I can. <br />But all along I should've been saying I know I can, I know I can.<br /><br />Adam Smitherman<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-think-i-can-i-know-i-can/
