Going down hill with arms open <br />Rapidly flying towards the Sun; <br />I wish I were a bird light and small <br />Soar up to sky and enjoy a great fall; <br /> <br />Grabbing a frond, swinging up and down <br />Throwing feet up making faces as a clown; <br />I wish I were a monkey smart and agile <br />Could summersault in air with amazing style; <br /> <br />Rolling on grass across the lawn <br />Shouting and shaking as a baby-new born; <br />I wish I were a squirrel quick and agile <br />Head and tail up run I with amazing style; <br /> <br />Jumping into a stream from its brink <br />Down into the water I begin to sink; <br />I wish I were a fish with no hands and feet <br />Come I up and into air jump in delight; <br /> <br />Receding afar light years away <br />Behind the clouds when it is all day; <br />I wish I were a star that twinkle at night <br />At the break of dawn I go out of sight; <br /> <br />Sitting in my garden under a tree <br />I often think to make myself free, <br />From the din and bustle of daily affairs; <br />To live and die in peace under Nature’s cares.<br /><br />Tiku akp<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/wish-i-were-a/
