Why should we face times alone when they, <br />Are there not the way, we wish, <br />Lies and truth can take the place, <br />Of love and happiness, <br />When two people who come together must, <br />Try to cope and sometimes fail, <br />The family can grow when babies take, <br />Over and cry for reasons, <br />On which can be hard to deal with, <br />Friends we have be the ones we, <br />Turn to for support and advice, <br />No-one knows what the future holds, <br />As for some they can learn the lessons, <br />The hard and the wrong way, <br />Everyone has a past, <br />Which can haunt our present and the, <br />Way we live, <br />The force of the problems can hit, <br />Like crash of thunder, <br />The timing can be so, <br />Problematic, <br />To the point where we can be hurt, <br />It can also make us realise that the, <br />That the world we live, <br />Is not the peaceful place we, <br />Hoped it was, <br />Try to remember the place in your mind, <br />Where nothing could hurt you, <br />At the end of the tunnel there will be a light, <br />That shines bright and is waiting for you, <br />To understand, <br />That we are only human and we all, <br />Can love and be loved, <br />For who we are<br /><br />Sharron Stephenson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-cry-for-peace-2/
