Today I put your things away, and the tears began to flow <br />I love you, I miss you so much, and I can’t seem to let you go <br />While packing boxes I played the songs we used to sing <br />Oh what sweet memories did those songs bring <br />Among your things I found your teddy bear <br />I held it in my arms so tight, I somehow felt you there <br />Sometimes I sit alone in the darkness, just trying to forget <br />The things I did and did not do, all that I regret <br />I tried my hardest to protect you, but a stranger took you away <br />If only I tried a little harder, you would be with me today <br />Within my broken heart is only a painful memory of the life we had <br />Sounding it is emptiness and anger.
