It seems I'm wearing an ugly mask <br />and playing a different part, <br />I want to show you off to my friends <br />but we have to hide in the dark, <br />those who knows criticize our judgements <br />and think we've lost our minds, <br />they look at our age difference <br />and say this can't be by design, <br />to some degree they have a point <br />but life has different stages, <br />what you and I seem to enjoy <br />other folks think is crazy, <br />so now we find ourselves being looked at <br />because you left the door ajar <br />you asked other people their opinions <br />and things got way too bizarre, <br />so now, the one thing we can do <br />being that everyone else seem to have lost it, <br />in order for us to keep enjoying the ride <br />let's keep what we do in the closet.<br /><br />Bernard Snyder<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/shhh-11/
