When you're fast asleep <br />The mind sneeks out, and around, <br />Wearing the moonlight <br />Like some ancient royal gown. <br />Soulful seekers and spiritual searchers <br />All invited here by the King of dreams, <br />Dancing and communing together <br />In the majesty of this becoming scene. <br />It's only the dreamy wishes of broken reality <br />Some, whose imaginations have died, will say, <br />Perhaps though, it is really a portent <br />The combination, and culmination of past and future days. <br />Dreams flow like flittering diamonds <br />Upon the nights sparkling river in the sky, <br />Old and new, the many and the few <br />All that have gone on, and yet to be <br />In the dreams of the night, dance... knowing they will never die. <br />The stars, and the milky way <br />Are the floor upon which we dance, <br />All the cosmos and spirits and time <br />With wonder watch, joyfully caught in a tender trance. <br />Music wraps around us <br />Like lace made of light, <br />As angels sing us into peaceful sleep... <br />This, our dream dances of the night.<br /><br />Smoky Hoss<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dream-dance/
