Mystic-memories <br />Of the mind, <br />So often take forms <br />Incredibly hard to find <br />- even harder to hold - <br />For those days of old <br />Move about, like favored scents on the breeze, <br />And are as inexplicable <br />As fall colors developing on the trees- <br />They freely come and go <br />As vague as fog upon the sea, <br />So often they haunt as well as thrill <br />The deepest parts of me- <br />At times they'll blow wild <br />As winter wind on the praire, <br />Other times as smooth and gentle <br />As the sweetest angelic fairy- <br />Good or bad <br />Hard or soft, <br />I pray God <br />To never let my loving memories <br />Be misplaced, or forever lost.<br /><br />Smoky Hoss<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/remembrance-84/
