It goes without having to say <br />that certain things can, make our day. <br />Dog, human being or cat <br />we all like to know where its at. <br />Charlie the african grey, <br />a nice brazil nut makes his day. <br />And Mollie our seventeen year cat <br />will kill for a prawn or a sprat. <br />Now mum likes a nice box of chocs <br />and dad sits and looks at the box. <br />But Quita our poodle just waits <br />and lovingly watches the gates, <br />each morning on our window box, <br />patient! alert! like a fox! <br />She watches for Linda, she`s one of her mates, <br />she`s bringing the post, she`s now at the gates. <br />Down from the window she`ll jump <br />landing with such a loud thump, <br />crossing the floor at great speed, <br />of our shouting she`s taking no heed! <br />Feet skidding on the smooth tiles, <br />squealing you can hear for miles! <br />As Linda delivers our post through the door <br />Quita collects it `fore it hits the floor. <br />If no post arrives for us on that day, <br />then Linda, big softy, will join in the play. <br />Not wanting to hurt Quitas feelings she will, <br />look for an item, her job to fulfill, <br />and push through the door, whatever she may, <br />watching the pleasure, as she makes Quitas day! <br />And Quita once more has taken her fill! <br />Prepare for tomorrow, and Linda?
