With a little fanfare <br />That approached from the Northeast <br />A flock of lowflying Canadian Geese <br />Soon appeared just over the white oak treeline <br />And headed toward Texas <br />As best I could determine <br />Their persistant honking seemed synchopated <br />With the flapping of their wings <br />And soon they spanned the lake <br />Dissappearing over the ridge of pine <br />Sure sign <br />That Winter is not far behind them <br />Better get my painting done!<br /><br />JAMES T.
