When they brought me in on a wheelchair <br />All I saw was a man looking outside the only window <br />Occupying the faraway bed seemed fair <br />As he was the one who described the meadows. <br /> <br />He looked out of the window and to me he described <br />The beautiful everlasting scene outside <br />One day he told me the sun is staying longer maybe it is bribed <br />Another day he said the leaves were falling all night. <br /> <br />Life is beautiful as he described <br />One day it will end, was his only fright <br />Beautiful flowers outside the window he will see no more <br />Really that bed without him will be sore. <br /> <br />Slowly one year passed by <br />Still I could make no movements <br />His fright came true, he did die <br />Left me and the window as the only tenants. <br /> <br />I asked the nurse to shift me by the window <br />No men I could see and not a car or a tree so tall <br />Where were the birds?
