So many things went by <br />As the time passed by <br />We moved to different directions <br />In search of our perfections. <br /> <br />I moved a step ahead <br />You left my one hand <br />You took a next step <br />I left your other hand. <br /> <br />In this way we moved along <br />Looking for our own song <br />Never realized what we did <br />We planted that magic seed. <br /> <br />By the time a plant came out <br />We had already broken up <br />It was waiting for its owner <br />We had lost our phone numbers. <br /> <br />Every time our phones ring <br />All the empty calls we pick <br />We look at that snapshot <br />And cry for the broken pot. <br /> <br />Somewhere in the middle <br />Comes the life’s riddle <br />We pretend to be pleased <br />Our emotions remain unreleased. <br /> <br />Never thought the way it would be <br />Always imagined how it should be <br />Walking with heavy eyes <br />And a heart full cries. <br /> <br />Anyhow we accommodate a fake smile <br />On our faces that goes on for a while <br />Returning to those days in mind <br />We forget all the pain inside. <br /> <br />We still want to see <br />Our hearts to be free <br />Yet waiting for one another <br />Apologies that come one after the other. <br /> <br />Some things remain incomplete <br />No matter how long it has been <br />Or someday they might get complete <br />No matter how far you’ve been.<br /><br />Prachi Agrawal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/forgotten-memories-3/
