The leaves of autumn are brilliant again <br />as they've been before. <br />They will shine for a while and start their fall, <br />fluttering to the floor. <br />The earthly floor accepts each one <br />and as we look around <br />we gather the rakes and blowers <br />to get them off the ground. <br /> <br />Why do we feel we must interrupt <br />all that nature does? <br />We change her scene and presume to know <br />all there ever was. <br />Well, maybe Mother Nature knows best <br />what we do not know, <br />like how she'll send the winds of fall <br />to let the leaves all blow.<br /><br />Edwina Reizer<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-leaves-of-autumn-2/
