When you looked at me,
Those last few minutes it was as if the word halted.
Why did you abandoned me here?

You came back,
Why did you? Wish i knew.
One last time i saw you, and you took my hand in yours,
retrieving my drained soul from the ground.

You sense my pain.
My sorrow.
You see what i feel and how much i require you.
Everyday, All the time.
I wish you cared, but you no longer do.
Or do you?

Can you see it in my eyes that i love you? Maybe..
You held me closely in ur arms,
kissing my lips ever so gently,
I could barely feel it,
Before turning and leaving me.

thieving my heart in you hands,
Tearing it from my chest.
Leaving me in pieces,
to waste and die out.

If only i could have you back,
to fulfil that small vacant space in my heart.
To hide where my heart was lacerated from.
I ask my self two common questions when you walk away.

Was this love? Yes.
Was it worth fighting for...?
No.

Samantha Rose Turner

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/take-me-away-60/
