I have a pet, it’s big and mean, <br />I feed it fish and chips. <br />It’s a T-Rex, all scaly and dark green, <br />huge teeth behind its lips. <br /> <br />I found it in my wood-shed, <br />my mother doesn’t know. <br />I hide it underneath my bed, <br />Oh I hope it doesn’t grow! <br /> <br />Imagine the fuss, should it get free, <br />would my parents mind it? <br />But it’s my T-Rex, belongs to me, <br />I hope they never find it! <br /> <br />Perhaps one day, if it does grow, <br />maybe it roars too loudly. <br />I’ll let it loose in the park I know, <br />as it chases bullies I’ll watch proudly.<br /><br />Jojoba Mansell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-t-rex-a-poem-for-children/
