Winter Texans are quite a fun breed. <br />They come to south Texas to play and to feed. <br />The ones that I've met are great lovers of the sun. <br />They tan most every day and are great fun. <br /> <br />I'm here with my brother and friend, named Craig. <br />He's there for everything, and you never have to beg. <br />He brought me here from further up north, <br />And I'll be back again next November fourth. <br /> <br />I guess that now I'm a winter Texan too? <br />That's not a bad thing for me or for you. <br />Florida is nice and good for some, <br />But I'd rather be here, and a beach bum. <br /> <br />All in all, these are really great folks. <br />I love to get together and trade old jokes. <br />Most of us are retired and getting old. <br />Experience is worth something, or so I am told? <br /> <br />They come in their campers of all sizes. <br />They're full of fun and bring some surprises. <br />I've already met some that I'll never forget. <br />On this you can lay money, or any size bet. <br /> <br />My heart goes out to these wonderful guys, <br />Trying to get by, under the clear blue skies. <br />My life has changed by being down here, <br />If I had to leave now, I'd shed a tear.<br /><br />J.B.
