Silently sobbing under the sheets <br />She wishes to see one and only man she loved <br />She pray for stars but the sky is gray <br />She breathe out hardly with tears all over her face <br />She wishes for only a gaze on him <br /> <br />By her bedroom door I stand listening <br />Her heart faintly beats out of her chest <br />He's the only one thing on her gone astray mind <br />The only true one love she ever had <br />Every night of everyday it goes the same for all this long it's been <br /> <br />She is lost from this planet <br />She gone from herself <br />She has a heart but moved out from herself <br />She's alive but I don't see it <br />She is under the pain that I can't describe <br /> <br />Every time I listen to her praying <br />Whispering to God but somehow it's loud <br />She cries while praying: <br />'I know it's much and too much asking Dear Lord <br />But if you could only give me one more chance' <br /> <br />And on and on she adds words after words <br />Sometimes I pray quietly along: <br />'Usually you don't do this heavenly God <br />But why don't you see her tears and hear her wish <br />And send her my father even in her dreams' <br /> <br />Maybe in the morning when she wakes up <br />The feeling from her last night dreams <br />Will be the courage of her following day <br />Her strength through his absence <br />Her joy for days to come<br /><br />Keith Anastase KAMOSSO<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/after-he-s-gone-my-father/
