The day has dwindled short,
The sun, it traveled far,
Shining down, a southern port,
Some warm Caribbean resort,
The sun, it is our star.

Turn around, tomorrow's sun,
Long journey heading north,
Another cycle has begun,
So as, another day is done,
Safe passage, back and forth.

Six months from now, overhead,
I'll see your shining light,
Stay up late, to watch you set,
Dream of your red silhouette,
All through, the darkened night.

A star was born many years ago,
Our planet then was dust,
Creation, true within the flow,
The love, his son, bestowed,
Our planet filled, with trust.

G.R.
