ROUGH CUT, NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> <br />Heads of state from the 21 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies, including the U.S., Russia and China, attended a tree planting ceremony on Tuesday (November 11) in Beijing.<br/> <br />The leaders' summit is the main feature of the APEC meetings. Topping the agenda for this summit are plans to begin looking into establishing a new free trade zone, the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific, and an initiative to crackdown on corruption.<br/> <br />Earlier in the morning Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech calling for the speeding up of efforts to establish the free trade zone.<br/> <br />APEC groups 21 economies which account for 40 percent of the world's population, 54 percent of its economic output and 44 percent of trade.
