At least four people are now known to have died in mudslides and flooding in the north of Italy. <br /><br />A elderly man was killed by a landslide outside his home amid torrential rain on Wednesday.<br /><br />He was with a neighbour who survived. They had reportedly gone to look at water pouring down a hill near their homes when the landslide started.<br /><br />An elderly couple was buried alive after their home was crushed in an onslaught of mud on Tuesday.<br /><br />At Genoa’s airport, torrential rain caused a power cut and delays to flights.<br /><br />Some towns are reported to have had more than 20 centimetres of rain in just 12 hours. <br /><br />High alert levels are expected to remain in place until at least Thursday.
