Torrential rainfall in Peru shows no sign of letting up.<br/> <br />Schools flood during class-time in a town in the Loreto region of Peru's Amazon, leaving students knee deep in water.<br/> <br />Peru's National Meteorological Specialist, Jose Mesia, says the forecast doesn't look promising, either.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) JOSE MESIA PERU'S NATIONAL METEOROLOGICAL AND HYDROLOGICAL SERVICE SPECIALIST SAYING:<br/> <br />"We are expecting even heavier and more intense rains over the course of the next few days."<br/> <br />Some 65 homes were hit by the the rains in the south, leaving some rural residents.. hopeless.<br/> <br />In the Apurimac region, 80 acres of potato and corn crop were ruined from rain and hail.<br/> <br />It also killed another form of crop.. Guinea Pigs, a customary delicacy.
