Officers investigating the theft of a Poppy Appeal collection box from a supermarket in Thringstone have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify in connection with the incident. <br /> <br />The incident took place at about 6.35pm on Saturday November 1 when a collection box and two joints of meat were stolen from the Co-op in The Green. <br /> <br />Police Community Support Officer 6002 Robert Inman is investigating the incident, he said: “This was a despicable crime and we need to catch the person responsible. <br /> <br />“If you recognise the man in the image or you have any information about the theft please contact the police. Even if you’re not 100% sure about the identity we would still urge you to come forward as we can quickly eliminate people from our enquiries.”
