French police say Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has been hospitalised in the Alpine city of Grenoble.<br /><br />There were no details given about why he has been admitted to hospital. <br /><br />Algerian authorities were not immediately available for comment.<br /><br />Bouteflika suffered a stroke last year and has rarely been seen in public since. <br /><br />He appeared frail at the beginning of this month when Algeria marked the 60th anniversary of its war of independence with France.
