Critically ill Sierra Leonean doctor with Ebola lands in U.S.

Another patient infected with Ebola has landed in the U.S.<br/> <br />And for a third time, a Nebraska hospital is taking charge.<br/> <br />Dr. Martin Salia, a Sierra Leonean surgeon and permanent U.S. resident, became infected while working in a Freetown hospital.<br/> <br />His flight from West Africa landed in Omaha at 2:45 p.m. local time Saturday.<br/> <br />Medical personnel in hazmat suits were seen on the tarmac transferring Salia to a waiting ambulance bound for Nebraska Medical Center.<br/> <br />Officials there have described Salia as critically ill.<br/> <br />So far the World Health Organization says the Ebola outbreak in West Africa has killed at least 5,100 people.<br/> <br />Salia would be the 10th known case of Ebola in the U.S. All but one was successfully treated.
