Thousands of demonstrators marched through the streets of Mexico City Sunday to protest what they call the government's inaction in the missing student teachers case.<br/> <br />43 people were abducted in September by a group of corrupt police in southwestern Mexico.<br/> <br />They were handed over to a drug gang which is suspected of murdering them and burning their bodies.<br/> <br />The handling of the case has drawn massive criticism from the public who say more needs to be done to bring those responsible to justice.<br/> <br />The public was further angered after the Mexican president traveled to China last week.<br/> <br />Critics said the trip proves he cares more about the country's business interests than about curbing violence.<br/> <br />In the past 7 years, some 100,000 people have died in violent acts linked to organised crime.
