ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: More than two thousand British and Polish soldiers took part in the joint exercise codenamed 'Black Eagle' in the west of Poland, reassuring the region in the wake of Russia's intervention in Ukraine.<br/> <br />Last month NATO-member Poland said it was drawing up a long-term plan to shift some of its military strength towards its eastern border, following Russia's annexation of Ukraine's Crimea earlier this year.<br/> <br />With around 1,350 British troops and over 300 vehicles, including Challenger 2 tanks and and Warrior armoured personnel carriers, it is the largest armoured deployment in Eastern Europe for six years, as the UK Ministry of Defence announced on Friday (November 21).
