The former first lady of France, Valerie Trierweiler, is about to debut her memoir in the UK on her life with President Francois Hollande, "Thank You for the Moment."<br/> <br />She told the BBC's Andrew Marr that her trip to the hospital as her relationship was ending wasn't because of a suicide attempt, but an escape from the reality of Hollande's two year affair with actress Julie Gayet.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (French) FORMER FIRST LADY OF FRANCE, VALERIE TRIERWEILER, SAYING:<br/> <br />"As I say in the book, I took some sleeping tablets. It wasn't a suicide attempt, I just wanted to go to sleep. I didn't want to go through those moments, to see the photos, to face up to this new reality. I knew that they'd be published but I didn't look at them.
