Almost no information is available about this Chicagoan band leader, who led the orchestra at the Drake Hotel which was located at 140 East Walton Place. Chapman's band was also were also the "official orchestra" Chicago radio station WDAP. Personnel is largely unknown. Besides pianist and leader Jack Chapman, the only identifiable members were: Clark Meyers, clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone and vocals; Raymond Davis, violin, as well as Lindsay McPhail, piano. This excellent record was made in 1923. It should be noted I could not include the complete credits in the title because a bug kept activating the filter system.
