In Bahrain, the largest Shia muslim party is boycotting parliamentary elections.<br /><br />It is the first time voters have gone to the polls since a government crackdown on Shia-led protests three-years ago. <br /><br />There have been been demonstrations in the north western village of Diraz, where riot police used tear gas. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports.
