US President Barack Obama has accepted the resignation of his Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel according to Pentagon sources.<br /><br />According to The New York Times,Obama asked the 68-year-old Vietnam war veteran to step down as part of a new US strategy in how to tackle ISIL militants.
