A blast of snow and rain along the East Coast made this a difficult Thanksgiving for many holiday travelers.<br/> <br />The wintry weather disrupted flights for millions of Americans, on one of the busiest times of the year for U.S. travel.<br/> <br />More than 700 flights were canceled nationwide on Wednesday and another 4,400 flights delayed.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: AIRLINE PASSENGER SOL ZLOTCHENKO SAYING:<br/> <br />"It's tough to sit and wait and not know what's going to happen but we are hopeful."<br/> <br />The Nor'Easter that formed over the Gulf of Mexico brought rain to cities like New York and Boston.<br/> <br />Further south, parts of Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland saw more than 6 inches of snow.<br/> <br />In Pennsylvania, storm-related accidents brought traffic over some major roadways to a halt.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: AIRLINE PASSENGER CARLIN GAYER SAYING:<br/> <br />"Usually takes me about 4 hours door to door to get home to see them today it's going to take me about 8 so double what it normally does."<br/> <br />And
