Police in Portugal have carried out mass searches into the defunct Espirito Santo bank on Thursday.<br /><br />Thirty-four homes were searched in the case relating to alleged fraud, tax evasion and money laundering.<br /><br />It is the most visible action into the Espirito Santo family business empire which collapsed in August.
