Venezuelan officials and prison inmates begin the task of identifying the dead after a prison riot on Monday.<br/> <br />Thirteen inmates are believed to have died from overdoses after they looted the hospital infirmary.<br/> <br />According to the government, the prisoners had ingested medical products including pure alcohol and antibiotics.<br/> <br />Outside the prison anxious relatives wait to hear news of their loved ones.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) MARIA VARGAS, FAMILY MEMBER OF INMATE, SAYING:<br/> <br />"We want the identity of those who died to be brought into the public light. There are still many injured, many dead. We want to know everything."<br/> <br />A total of 145 prisoners were intoxicated during the revolt, which started after some inmates went on hunger strike demanding the dismissal of an official.<br/> <br />The country's overcrowded prison system has been beset by violence in recent years.<br/> <br />In 2013 as many as 54 people were killed in another riot.
