An Egyptian court has cleared the former president Hosni Mubarak of conspiring to kill protestors in an uprising against his regime in 2011<br /><br />The trial also cleared him of corruption charges relating to gas exports to Israel at prices below the market level. <br /><br />86 year-old Mubarak is currently serving a three year sentence on a separate charge of embezzlement of public funds. <br /><br />When the judge dismissed the charge of conspiring to kill protesters the court erupted in cheers and applause. <br /><br />Mubarak’s interior minister Habib el-Adly and six aides were also cleared of charges related to the killings.
