HIV, the virus which causes AIDS, is evolving into a less deadly infection – that’s according to a study by scientists at Oxford University.<br /><br />The findings suggest that although still potent, it was taking longer for those infected with HIV to go on the develop AIDS.<br /><br />Together with more effective drugs, the pandemic <br />appears to be slowing down.<br /><br />Some 35 million people worldwide currently have HIV and AIDS has killed around 40 million people since it began spreading 30 years ago.
